Hi, I’m a women’s health coach, Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and a mom of 3.
I focus on breathing patterns and bone alignment and not limited to muscles. With proper breathing patterns and alignment, our body can absorb more oxygen and our body tissue can be more active throughout. That means our bodies can be healthier without pain or fear, and we can improve our sleep and better manage stress. You know what a game changer that is as a mom!
“Core strength for life”. With my own birth experiences, I know how important it is for women to take care of our bodies before, during, and after each pregnancy. Better late than never!
Becoming a mom is a big job for women. Through pregnancy and delivery, our bodies have to endure huge changes. Our blood volume increases, our muscles stretch out by 3 times, and our bellies get heavier. With the baby growing inside, our spines and pelvises are pushed outward, a change unique to pregnancy. All of this affects our posture and breathing patterns.
Until my second child was born, I was only a weekend yogi and pilates student. Then, during my second pregnancy, I experienced such pain that I’d never experienced before. My hip pain made me almost unable to walk by myself, and constant constipation brought on itchy rashes all over my body.
With our second child being diagnosed with “metatarsus adductus” at the birth, I decided to dive into the world of the musculoskeletal system and earned the certificate of “Corrective Exercise Specialist” from NASM.
During my third pregnancy, I studied for the “Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist” certificate and applied all the knowledge and techniques on my body. I had a smooth and peacefully controlled delivery without the use of an epidural. And my recovery was speedy!
Being a mom is also tough work both physically and mentally. Feeding and holding up your babies and kids may burden your back muscles if you are not conscious. Tight back muscles lead to shallow breathing patterns, stress intolerance, lower back pain or shoulder pain and pelvic floor weakness, which brings about more problems.
I geek out on the science behind corrective exercise to help moms rebuild their post-baby bodies so they can say YES to life again.

I have been suffering from lower back pain for a long time since I am an engineer and sitting for long hours is part of the job. I tried chiropractic and physical therapy, but those did not get rid of my pain. Natsumi explained to me in detail where I was using my body undesirably, and what I could do to fix the alignments with exercises. Nobody told me about the body deeper than Natsumi did. To my surprise, I felt very comfortable with my body without any back pain only after my first 90 minutes session with her, and my whole body was aligned. If you have tried some other things but the pain is still there, then I highly recommend seeing her and working with her.
